Mac-Talla Pedro Ximénez 2026 is an annual limited edition Islay single malt from Morrison Distillers, bottled at 52.8% in a 70cl bottle with natural colour and without chill-filtration.
It was matured in first fill PX sherry butts and refill PX sherry hogsheads. The first fill casks add dense sweetness and colour, while the refill hogsheads temper that richness and keep the Islay spirit and gentle maritime peat in view.
The colour is burnt molasses. The nose offers sticky dates, raisins and gentle peat. On the palate come dark dried fruit, warm treacle toffee and coastal brine, with layers of raisins, dates and a hint of spice. The finish is long and rich, with dark fruit and gentle smoke.
