Old Perth Amontillado is the 2025 annual limited edition of this blended malt from Morrison Distillers, finished in Amontillado casks. It is bottled at 52.8% vol in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and without chill filtration.
It blends mature Speyside single malts with a savoury new-make character chosen to work with the Amontillado influence. The casks are nine first-fill European oak Amontillado sherry butts and six first-fill Amontillado sherry hogsheads, with a final marriage in selected Amontillado casks.
The colour is golden ember. The nose offers toasted hazelnuts, crushed almonds, dried apricots and baked stone fruits. The palate brings golden sultanas and dried peaches, with a soft, buttery texture and a hint of biscuit sweetness.
