This is the 2024 annual limited edition of Old Perth, a Speyside blended malt from Morrison Distillers, fully matured in sherry casks as the whole range is.
This release was aged in 11 Manzanilla sherry casks, six hogsheads and five butts. Manzanilla is a dry, light fino-style sherry made in Sanlúcar de Barrameda and aged under flor. It is bottled at 53.4% without chill filtration or added colour, with an outturn of 4,200 bottles in 70cl.
The nose is fragrant and floral, with rosewater and toasted almonds. The palate is crisp with orchard fruits and honeyed amaretti biscuits.
