Strata is a 15 year old Islay single malt from Mac-Talla, the range from the Morrison family, who have been present on Islay for five generations. Mac-Talla is Scottish Gaelic for echo. It is bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
The name is the plural of stratum and refers to the igneous rock formations along Islay's rugged coasts. The whisky was made by marrying selected bourbon barrels with sherry casks.
