Mac-Talla Strata is a 15 year old Islay single malt bottled at 46% ABV. It is the 15 year old expression in a range from Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers made entirely of Islay single malts.
The whisky matured in former Bourbon and sherry casks.
The nose is smoky with grain and aromatic summer fruits, jam and compote. The palate is soft and mild, with smoky sherry notes and Christmas-like spices, plus maritime and fruity flavours. The finish is balanced and fairly long, with peat and sea salt staying on the palate.
