Macallan – 12 Years Double Cask (70cl, 40%)

This is a 12 year old Macallan single malt, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in a combination of American oak and ex-sherry casks, which gives a very soft whisky. The nose is creamy butterscotch, toffee and apple. On the palate, spice and citrus sit around a fine balance of raisins and caramel. The finish is a lingering note of oak with warm, sweet hints.
