A 12 year old Speyside single malt from Macallan, matured in a mix of American and European sherry casks. It is bottled at 40%.
The casks add vanilla, spice and dried fruit to the whisky. The share of American ex-sherry casks is higher than in the Sherry Oak, and no ex-bourbon casks are used.
The nose has classic dried fruit and buttery butterscotch. The palate is creamy and honey-sweet, with thick marmalade, cinnamon and warm pastries. The finish is fruity, with vanilla and raisins.
