Macallan – 18 Year Old Sherry Oak 2022 Release

This is the 2022 release of the annual Macallan 18 Year Old Sherry Oak, a Speyside single malt. It was matured in hand-picked, sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez. Macallan was for much of the 20th century used mainly as a constituent malt in blends, and the distillery turned its attention to its single malt only after the market downturn of the 1980s. In 2018 it opened a new distillery within the Easter Elchies estate, with 36 copper pot stills.
