Macallan 18 Years Double Cask is a Scotch single malt matured for 18 years in both American and European oak casks seasoned with sherry, bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The two oaks play different parts. Sherry-seasoned American oak adds delicate vanilla, while European oak brings subtle spice. Together they give a sweeter, warmer flavour and character.
