Macallan – 1861 Replica

A blended malt from Macallan, part of the Replica series, which set out to recreate the style and flavour of antique 19th century Macallan bottles. The series began in the early 2000s. Samples were later sent for carbon dating, and the results showed that the whiskies tested were not genuine period bottles. The replicas were released regardless, and the series has since become increasingly collectible.
