This is a single cask Macallan from the Speymalt series, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail at 55.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in 2001, matured for 21 years in a sherry cask and bottled in 2022, with 255 bottles drawn from cask 5106. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose brings dark cherries, plums, dates and figs alongside a rich compote of red fruits. On the palate it is full-bodied and powerful, with raspberries, sour cherries and wild berries before black pepper adds spice. The finish is long, with marzipan, spices and ripe fruit.
