This is a 21 year old Macallan from the Colour Collection, an official Speyside bottling at 43% ABV. The collection centres on natural colour and on the influence of carefully chosen sherry-seasoned oak casks on colour and aroma.
The nose offers ripe raisins, orange and vanilla, with cinnamon, cocoa and fine oak spice. The palate is full and soft, with dried fruit, toffee, chocolate, nuts and warm spice. The finish is long and balanced, with dark fruit, sweet spice and dry oak.
