This is Macallan 30 Year Old Sherry Oak, bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in Spanish oak casks that were handmade and seasoned with sherry in Jerez, Spain.
The nose is full and well spiced, with oloroso sherry to the fore and a note like orange peel flamed by a cocktail barman. The palate is very full and intense without being abrasive, with honeyed notes, good texture and at times crushed grapes. The finish is well fruited, with espresso and a dusting of chocolate.
