A 30 year old Macallan single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 43% ABV. It was matured in Spanish oak casks that were handmade and seasoned with sherry in Jerez, Spain.
Oloroso sherry leads on the nose, which is full and well spiced, with a note of flamed orange peel. The palate is very full, with honeyed notes, good texture and at times crushed grapes, and it stays quite clean in the mouth. The finish is well fruited, with espresso and a dusting of chocolate.
