This is a Macallan from Speyside, aged 30 years and matured in sherry oak. It is marked 2018 and comes in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV.
Oloroso sherry leads on the nose, which is full and well spiced, with a note of flamed orange peel. The palate is very full and intense without being harsh, with honeyed notes, good texture and at times crushed grapes.
It is clean in the mouth before a fruity finish of espresso and a dusting of chocolate.
