Macallan Aera is a Speyside single malt released in 2018 as an exclusive for the Taiwanese market. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV.
The whisky was matured predominantly in sherry-seasoned oak casks. In the same year Macallan opened a new distillery on the Easter Elchies estate, with 36 copper pot stills, having chosen in the 1980s to concentrate on its single malt brand.
