Macallan – Concept No 1

Macallan Concept No 1 is a Speyside single malt and the first in a series of annual releases from the distillery. It was one of several expressions Macallan launched in 2018. Its theme is surrealist art. The box presents the six pillars of Macallan reimagined through a surrealist lens. For much of the 20th century Macallan was mainly a constituent malt in blends. The distillery turned its focus to its own single malt brand after the downturn in the market in the 1980s.
