This is a limited edition Macallan Double Cask, released for the Chinese Lunar Year of the Rat in 2020. It is a single malt in a 70cl bottle, and the cask type is sherry.
The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid, a barley farmer and school teacher, and is now owned by the Edrington Group. Its Six Pillars include curiously small stills, a very narrow cut of new make spirit and careful cask management.
