Macallan – Double Oak 18 Years Old (70cl)

Macallan Double Oak 18 Years Old is a single malt in a 70cl bottle, made by blending eighteen-year-old whisky matured in European and American oak casks. Both kinds of cask were seasoned with sherry. It is described as a warming, sweet whisky and sits at the top of the Macallan Double Cask range. The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 beside a ford on the River Spey, at the farm called Easter Elchies, and a new distillery was built next to the old one in 1966.
