Macallan Edition No.5 is a single malt from Speyside, in a 70cl bottle at 48.5% ABV. Released in 2019, it is the fifth bottling in the annual Edition series.
It is a collaboration with the Pantone Colour Institute, who designed the purple box to complement the colour of the whisky. The malt is a marriage of American casks: first fill bourbon barrels, second fill hogsheads and butts, and first fill Tevasa, Vasyma and Hudosa hogsheads and butts.
