Macallan – M Copper Release 2022 (70cl, 42%)

Macallan M Copper is a single malt released in 2022, in a 70cl bottle at 42% ABV. Its natural colour is that of spun gold. The release pays tribute to the Curiously Small Stills. Their shape and size help concentrate the spirit and give it a rich, robust character. When most distilleries moved to larger copper stills for higher output, Macallan kept the small ones. The whisky comes in a handmade, copper-coloured Lalique crystal decanter that represents the stills. It is described as buttery and viscous, with a fruity character and a hint of sweet maltiness.
