Macallan – Travel Series The Twenties 1920s Style Limited Edition (2007) (50cl)

This is a limited edition Speyside single malt from Macallan, part of the Travel Series and called The Twenties. It was made to recreate the style of Macallan whisky from the 1920s, and it comes in a 50cl bottle. It belongs to the Macallan Decades series, four bottles that each represent the whisky of a different decade, from the 1920s to the 1950s. The label draws on the classic British motor cars of the late 1920s. The nose has strong black tea, chamomile and other herbs with a slight sweetness. On the palate, black tea without milk or sugar comes first, then a touch of sweet sherry that turns dry, with herbs and minimal sulphur. The finish is bitter-sweet, round and relatively dry, with sherry and astringent oak.
