Siol Dugall is a medium-peated Canadian single malt from Macaloney's, made on Vancouver Island in British Columbia. It is bottled at 46% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The malt is made from Canadian malted barley and peated to around 27 PPM. It is matured in Kentucky Bourbon casks, virgin American oak and re-charred Portuguese red-wine casks.
The nose combines sweet peat smoke, lemon zest, vanilla, toasted oak and a hint of brine. On the palate are creamy malt, orchard fruit, vanilla and oak spice alongside earthy peat smoke. The finish is long and warming, with smoke, vanilla and spice.
