Na Braiche is a Canadian single malt from Macaloney's Distillery on Vancouver Island. It is made from Canadian malted barley and matured in Portuguese red wine casks.
The wine casks bring ripe red berries and tropical fruit, alongside toffee, toasted oak, honey, citrus and dark chocolate, with a juicy malt character beneath.
On the nose, red berries and tropical fruit lead into toffee, toasted oak and gentle wood spice. The palate is smooth and creamy, with fruitcake and honey, and spice emerging late. The finish is long and driven by oak, with malt, dark chocolate and honey.
