Macaloney's Oaken Potstill Canadian Single Malt (70cl, 46%)

Oaken Potstill is a Canadian single malt from Macaloney's Island Distillery in Victoria, British Columbia. It is made from a mash of malted and unmalted barley and distilled three times in copper pot stills. The whisky matures in hand-selected Portuguese red wine casks treated by the shave, toast and rechar method. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour, and it is not smoky. The nose is clearly floral. On the palate come rosewater, candied orange and nectarine, and the finish is soft.
