Macaloney's – Peated Kildara (70cl)

Peated Kildara is a Canadian pot-still whisky from Macaloney's, a lightly peated version of its Kildara. The mash bill is 60% farmers barley and 40% malted barley, all grown locally, and the spirit is smoked at the distillery with peat from the Olympic Peninsula to a level of 21 ppm. It was named Best Canadian Pot Still at the 2025 World Whiskies Awards. The nose is fruity with delicate wood smoke, bringing cream soda, custard, marzipan, heather honey and potpourri. The palate is velvety, with oat muesli, crystal malt, vanilla, ripe apricot and papaya, then snow peas, pistachios and smoked hazelnuts. Coconut husk, teak and sandalwood mark the finish.
