This is a 12 year old Scotch bottled in the 1970s by MacGregor Ross & Co, a blend at 43% abv. The nose brings furniture polish, leather and tobacco, with bitter orange, cocoa powder, cherries, dates, raisins and a little cinnamon. On the palate red grapes and cherries lead, in a style recalling aged Armagnac, alongside old oak, cinnamon and a hint of black pepper. The finish is spicy and slightly drying, with lingering oak and some warmth.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
