Stjärnrök is a smoked Swedish single malt from the Mackmyra distillery, bottled at 46.1% in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited edition of 17,000 bottles.
The whisky matured in Oloso casks, ex-bourbon casks and American oak casks.
The nose is complex, with smoke, spices, peat, juniper, raisins, nuts, dried fruit, toasted bread, tobacco, cedar and ginger. The palate has an oily texture, smoky, fruity and spicy, with vanilla, dark chocolate, orange peel, aniseed, white pepper and oak. The finish balances smoke with dried tropical fruit.
