This is a 21 year old peated blended malt from Glenallachie Distillers, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. The recipe is Glenallachie single malt with other sourced Speyside and Islay single malts, blended and then married in French oak, sherry and virgin oak casks.
It won World's Best Blended Malt at the 2020 World Whisky Awards and scored 96 points at the International Wine and Spirits Competition.
The colour is rich butterscotch. The nose offers subtle peat smoke with dark chocolate shavings, runny honey and vanilla fudge. The palate brings old leather, cedar wood and gentle peat, with cocoa, vanilla pods and sweet spices.
