MacNair's Lum Reek 12 Year Old Peated Blended Malt (70cl, 46%)

A peated blended malt from MacNair's, the boutique side of Glenallachie, assembled by Billy Walker. This 12 year old Lum Reek returns in revised packaging. It combines Glenallachie with other Speyside and Islay single malts. The blend was reracked into American oak, sherry casks and French wine barriques to marry further before the final cask selection and bottling. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, with no colouring or chill filtration. The colour is copper bronze. The nose offers sweet peat smoke, butterscotch, mocha and gentle nutmeg, and the palate brings heather honey, rich toffee and sweet spices over peaty undertones.
