Maestro Dobel 50 Anniversary Series 1968 is an Extra Añejo tequila from a single family-owned estate in the volcanic lowlands of Tequila, Mexico. Made from 100% Blue Weber agave grown for up to twelve years, it is slow-cooked in traditional masonry ovens and double-distilled. It spends a minimum of eight years in American oak barrels before finishing in rare Armagnac casks. The result is amber with coppery tones and golden reflections with green hues at the edge. The nose shows toasted wood, walnut, honey, fig, dried fruits, chocolate and tobacco; the palate is velvety and sweet with honey, fig and date, with a slightly bitter, lingering aftertaste.
