This is a VS Cognac from Maison Gautier, a house founded in 1755 in Aigre. It is bottled at 40% ABV.
The blend uses eaux-de-vie from Fins Bois and Bons Bois, made mainly from Ugni Blanc, double-distilled in copper pot stills and aged for a minimum of two years in French oak. The ageing takes place in cellars in an 18th-century watermill on the Osme River.
The nose is fresh, with pear, white peach, light vanilla, floral notes and a mineral edge. The palate is soft and rounded, with ripe stone fruit, gentle spice and creamy vanilla over delicate oak. It finishes clean and lightly warming, with lingering fruit sweetness.
