Maker's Mark – 46 (70cl, 47%)

A Kentucky bourbon bottled at 47% in a 70cl bottle. Maker's Mark 46 was the first innovation at the distillery since the original recipe of 1953. The bourbon is made from corn, red winter wheat and malted barley. It is aged in charred American white oak barrels, then finished with ten seared French oak staves set inside the barrel for a further nine weeks. The nose brings caramel, vanilla, baking spices and toasted oak. The palate is creamy, with butterscotch, vanilla, oak and a little dried fruit. The finish is long and warm, with spice, vanilla and toasted oak.
