Maker's Mark is a Kentucky bourbon in a 1.75 litre bottle, made at the distillery in Loretto. Bill Samuels, Sr. set out to make a whisky he would enjoy drinking, and used soft red winter wheat in place of the usual rye.
Every barrel is rotated by hand, and the bourbon is aged to taste rather than to a set time. Each bottle is still hand-dipped in the distillery's red wax.
