Maker's Mark Wood Finishing Series 2026 'The Stewards Release' is a Kentucky straight bourbon finished with specially selected oak staves, bottled at cask strength and not chill-filtered. The mash bill is the usual wheated one of 70% corn, 16% wheat and 14% malted barley.
The 2026 release celebrates the teams who oversee each step of production at the distillery, from the first liquid to the final bottling.
Tasting notes describe cherry and raspberry on the nose with French vanilla, toasted oak and cinnamon. The palate moves from sweet oak to cinnamon and stewed raspberries, and the finish ends on cherry, baking spices and maple syrup.
