Maker's Mark – Wood Finishing Series 2025 'The Keeper's Release' Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 54.6%)

A 2025 Kentucky straight bourbon from Maker's Mark, part of its Wood Finishing Series, bottled at cask strength, 109.3 proof, in a 75cl bottle. The wheated mashbill is 70% corn, 16% wheat and 14% malted barley, and special finishing staves were used to bring out vanilla and sweet spice. It is bottled un-chill filtered. The Keepers Release honours the people at Star Hill Farm who oversee the maturation of the whisky. The tasting notes give seasoned oak, brûlée sugar and tobacco on the nose, a bold palate of toasted oak with subtle sweetness, and a long finish of dried dark fruit and roasted sweetness.
