A cask strength Kentucky bourbon from Maker's Mark, Batch 23-06, bottled at 54.75% in a 70cl bottle. It is bottled straight from the barrel, without cold filtration or added water.
The mash bill is 70% corn, 16% red winter wheat and 14% malted winter barley. The bourbon is aged in American oak barrels that were air-dried outdoors for nine months.
The nose brings caramelised vanilla, toasted oak, brown sugar, overripe cherries, cinnamon and nutmeg. The palate is full-bodied, with caramel, dark chocolate, dried fruit, honey and subtle spice. The finish is long and warming, with oak, caramel and vanilla.
