Maker's Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon is a wheated bourbon from the Maker's Mark Distillery in Loretto, Kentucky, bottled at 45% ABV in a 750ml bottle. Its mashbill is corn, malted barley and red winter wheat, with no rye, and it is aged for approximately 6 years in 19-gallon barrels.
Every bottle is hand-dipped in red wax. Bill Samuels Sr. created the recipe in 1953.
The nose offers honey, vanilla cream, soft caramel and gentle floral notes. On the palate it is smooth and round, with caramel, baked vanilla, dried fruit and very light oak. The finish is warm and of medium length, with honey, vanilla and a touch of wood.
