Maker's Mark – Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky (70cl, 40%)

Maker's Mark is a Kentucky straight bourbon in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 40%. Bill Samuels, Sr. set out to make a whisky he would enjoy drinking, and used soft red winter wheat in place of the usual rye. Every barrel is rotated by hand, and the bourbon is aged to taste rather than to a set time. Each bottle is hand-dipped in red wax at the distillery in Loretto, Kentucky. The nose has caramel, vanilla, woody oak and wheat. The palate is sweet and balanced, with caramel, fruity notes and vanilla, leading to a subtle, smooth finish.
