Maker's Mark Wood Finishing Series The Heart Release 2024 is a bourbon bottled at 55.85% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is the second chapter of the Wood Finishing Series, a limited release. The Heart release honours the team that distils the whisky at Loretto, Kentucky, whom Maker's Mark regards as the centre of its whisky-making. It is fruit-forward, with caramel, maple and chocolate and a rich, creamy mouthfeel. The nose offers toasted sweetness, stone fruit and cocoa, followed by brown sugar, maple and spice on the palate and a creamy, dark chocolate finish.
