Maple Syrup & Toasted Oats & Orange Zest & Vanilla 8 Year Old Canadian Corn Whisky (70cl, 40%)

This is an eight-year-old Canadian corn whisky from the &Whisky range, made from a mash of 95% corn and 5% rye. Atom Labs bought it at five years old and gave it more than three further years in active Oloroso sherry octaves. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle, without added colour or chill-filtering. Maple syrup and toasted oats lead the nose, with a fresh citrus note. The palate is full and soft, with orange and fine vanilla, and the finish is long and pleasantly sweet.
