Mars Original is a Japanese blended whisky from Mars Distillery, which is owned by Hombo Shuzo. It was bottled in the 1990s from whisky distilled in the 1980s, at 43% in a 72cl bottle.
The whisky was aged in the stone warehouse of the Mars Tsunuki distillery in Kagoshima, and it is a vatting of spirit matured in ex-Bourbon casks. Tsunuki is the sister distillery that Mars opened to supply its popular blends.
