Mars Komagatake 2015 Single Cask Bourbon Barrel #2023 Yakushima Aging (70cl, 61%)

This is a non-peated Japanese single malt distilled at the Mars Shinshu distillery and bottled from a single bourbon barrel, number 2023, at 61% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is an Asian exclusive single cask, with 194 bottles in total. The whisky matured from 2015 to 2020 at the Yakushima Aging Cellar, on a subtropical island off Kagoshima covered by cedar forest. The nose brings salted caramel with toasted walnuts. The palate is very creamy, with chocolate pudding and a very gentle spice.
