MARS Komagatake Japanese Spring (70cl, 48%)

Japanese Spring is a limited edition from the Mars Distillery, bringing together whiskies from three different climate zones of Japan. It is bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle, without chill filtration or added colour. The casks include American oak and sherry casks with a peaty background, and some were fitted with cherry wood lids. The packaging carries a cherry blossom design, a nod to spring. The nose offers abundant light and exotic fruit with soft honey and fine toasted notes. The palate is complex, with cocoa powder and hazelnuts under a little smoke. The finish is long, balancing sweet and spicy tones.
