Mars Shinshu Iwai is a Japanese blended whisky made at the high-altitude Mars Shinshu Distillery in Nagano, bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
It is bourbon-inspired, with a mash of roughly 75% corn and 25% malt, and it was aged in ex-bourbon barrels.
The profile is light and sweet, with vanilla, pear and honey. It is described as well suited to highballs.
