This is the eleventh release in The Lucky Cat series from Hombo Shuzo, a run of blended whiskies themed around the cats that live with the company's president. Solla is a kitten who was found by the roadside and joined the family in mid-2025. The whisky is bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It blends malt aged in chestnut casks with malt aged in Spanish oak sherry casks, a pairing chosen to reflect Solla's marron-cream coat and playful character. Grain whisky from the UK is part of the blend.
It was made at the Mars Komagatake Distillery in Nagano, Japan, at about 800 metres above sea level. The release is capped at around 9,900 bottles.
