Mars Whisky Iwai is a blended Japanese whisky from Mars Shinshu, which stands at 800 metres in Miyata village, Nagano Prefecture, and is described as Japan's highest distillery. The distillery has produced whisky since 1985, and Iwai is its blended expression, in a 750ml bottle.
It can be drunk neat, on the rocks, in a highball or in a whisky cocktail.
The nose is sweet, with pear and quince. The palate is smooth, fruity and well balanced, and the finish is clean and gentle.
