Masahiro Pure Malt is a Japanese malt whisky from Okinawa, bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is a blend of malt aged for over three years in old sherry butts and bourbon casks.
The blend then spends at least a further six months in Jack Daniel's first-fill bourbon barrels.
Citrus, pineapple, banana and other tropical fruit come through on the nose, with a mellow, sweet vanilla ice cream flavour on the palate. The finish is short and mellow, followed by a lingering spiciness.
