This is a single cask Cognac from Mauxion, an original bottling from the Petite Champagne cru. It is bottled at cask strength, 62% vol, in a 70cl bottle, without added colouring and without chill filtration.
Petite Champagne is known for its chalky soils and for elegant Cognacs. Long ageing in oak casks brings out the oak character in this one.
The aromas range from intense ripe fruit to subtle oak notes, and the finish is powerful.
