This is a five-year-old blended Irish whisky from McConnell's, bottled at 42% ABV. It is aged in handpicked first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, which add a delicate sweetness, a deep oak character and a light char to the finish.
The nose brings light citrus, peppered spice and vanilla. The palate has stone fruits, butterscotch, vanilla sweetness and white pepper, followed by oak. The finish is sweet and spicy with oak and lingering ripe fruit.
